S’áxt’ (devil's club) 1% salve

Although we began with selling the distilled essential oil, most people prefer a finished product that is easy to use -rather than mixing pure essential oil themselves.
 
We listened and produced this salve made from organic coconut oil, organic olive oil, organic beeswax and S’áxt’ essential oil at 1% concentration (equivalent of 1 drop of essential oil in a tsp of carrier oil) and also 5% concentration (the equivalent of 3 drops of essential oil in a tsp of carrier oil.)
 
We use a 1% S’áxt’ essential oil dilution as the base concentration for all our products because 1%  is generally considered as a safe concentration for most oils by the aromatherapy industry.
 
Customers with acute chronic pain often need the stronger 5% salve to reach the deeper stabbing pain that interrupts or prevents sleep. 
 
Some people purchase the pure essential oil and add drops to make the salve stronger as needed for pain or inflammation.  Simply heat the tin on a low heat source (not flame) until it becomes liquid, then add the drops and stir with a toothpick; let cool before using as a salve.
